Sportshop Schuster has a miniature climbing figure that I just had to photograph.

The Augustiner Keller near to Munich's Marienplatz, is all prepared for Fasching (Mardi gras, Carnival).

Munich had it's own American dinner near to MÃ¼nchener Freiheit, but is now closed.

The well known "Walking Man" outside the offices of the MÃ¼nchener RÃ¼ck insurance company on Leopoldstrasse, the largest re-insurance company in the world.

This is part of the Schwabing area near to the Englischer Garten. The statue was created by the American Jonathan Borofsky in 1995 and stands 20 metres tall. The figure is made of glass fiber. Munich is very proud of the statue.

Many apartments are decorated in the old Bavarian style, with extensive use of natural wood. Glockenspiel Rathaus

The bronze fish outside the Deutsche Jagd-Fischereimuseum in the pedestrian area.

Marienplatz with the Rathaus (town hall) in the background, showing the wonderful facade.The Kaufinger- and Neuhauser streets are the shopping centre of the town. Thank goodness it is a pedestrian way with no traffic to spoil the pleasure as you walk and admire the many old buildings and high quality shops.
