Is carbon trading a good idea, or is it a lie?
Many companies which are major polluters are planning to use Carbon
Trading to offset their greenhouse gas emissions. This is a complete
confidence trick by the companies and their publicity department to
make the company look good to their customers and stock holders. Is
Carbon Trading a lie? See the Wikipedia information.
Carbon Trading is a complex subject, but is often about planting
trees and other offset methods and is great for the climate, plus it
helps manage climate change. But then to claim because they have
done some good they can now carry on polluting as before is
ludicrous. Pollution is pollution in any form, and must be reduced
if the world is to have a sustainable future. Carbon Trading Video.
The major polluters in India, China, Germany, America, the UK and
others must control the pollution caused by coal fired power
stations and other coal fire processes. Coal burning is deadly and
produces major greenhouse gases.
To manage and reduce the effects on Climate Change, companies are
going to have to spend money, which given the current "profit at any
price" focused mentality will not happen before it is too late. Laws
enforcing emission controls must be mandatory, with very heavy
fines. If the European Union can fine Microsoft for not doing what
it was told ( about €900 million ) then the European Union can and
should enforce pollution controls on coal fired power stations to
reduce Climate Change and greenhouse gases. Is Carbon Trading the
way?
The time for the general public to make their thoughts known, is
now. Remember, if you do nothing, and everybody else does nothing,
then in less than 50 years this world will be heading into a
catastrophe where there is no going back. How are you going to
explain that to your children. maybe there will no grandchildren to
worry about.
